"To realize a clean, beautiful environment to enhance the quality of life for residents and the enjoyment of visitors.”
Beautify Corpus Christi is a local non profit organization whose goal is to educate the public about recycling, litter prevention, graffiti abatement and community stewardship.
We are designated by the IRS as a 501c3 organization that serves as the Keep Texas Beautiful Affiliate for Corpus Christi. We have one full-time Executive Director and an all-volunteer board of directors.
Our organization has been recognized for many years as a "Sustained Excellence" Winner of the Governor's Community Achievement Award and as a "Gold Star Affiliate" by Keep Texas Beautiful for the last two years.
Begun in late 1967, the Chamber of Commerce through its President Richard King III announced plans for a comprehensive program with emphasis on area-wide cleanup campaigns, anti-litter programs and beautification projects. Since its establishment in January 1968, the Beautify Corpus Christi Association has played a major role in aesthetically enhancing the outdoor environment. Significant projects signify our dedication to creating a cleaner, greener "Sparkling City by the Sea".

Since 2003, Beautify Corpus Christi has focused on enhancing our urban forest through outreach, tree plantings, and educating the public about proper care and selection of appropriate trees for our area. We have donated and planted hundreds of trees from our tree farm at residences, parks, churches and schools.
We continue to clean up the trash in our city and host numerous events throughout the year. Beach clean ups and other events help reduce the litter in our community.
Significant beautification projects such as the Sea Turtle sign on the JFK Causeway, art installations and landscaping at Ullberg Park, and the installation of the Corpus Christi gateway sign on IH-37 represent our commitment to improving the appearance of our city for visitors and residents. |
